New York State Swim Commission
The New York State Swim Commission was formed to help run the New York State YMCA Swimming Championships. The members are elected by the coaches of the participating YMCAs. Each coach can be a member of the organization. If requested by a league or individual YMCA, the committee will help solve any problems that may occur. Each area of the state has a representative on the committee.

Dear Coaches, Athletes, Families, and YMCA Communities,
On behalf of the New York State Swim Commission, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to all 28 teams and the 1,109 athletes who competed in the 2026 YMCA New York State Swimming Championship.
This championship was a true celebration of our sport and our YMCA values—caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility—on full display throughout the weekend.
A special and heartfelt thank you to our outstanding host teams:

Your leadership, organization, and commitment created an exceptional championship environment for all. These meets do not happen without countless hours of preparation and dedication, and we are incredibly grateful for your efforts.
To our athletes—your performances in the pool were inspiring. From first swims to championship finals, you demonstrated resilience, determination, and belief in yourselves. You represented your teams and your communities with pride.
To the coaches, officials, volunteers, and families—thank you for the unwavering support that makes opportunities like this possible. The energy on deck and in the stands is what makes this championship so special year after year.
As we look ahead, we are currently working on finalizing the location for the 2027 YMCA NY State Championship, and we look forward to sharing that information soon.
